Controversy increases after Ex-Prez of France commented that Indian Govt asked them to nominate Anil Ambani’s Defence Reliance for the deal. Congress term this deal as the scam of the century. Anil Ambani threatened to sue Congress in the defamation case.

Indian National Congress (INC) blames Indian Govt that they purchased Aircraft at higher rates than INC decided and secured earlier. Also blames Modi Govt to provide the deal to Anil Ambani’s company by unfair means.
INC led Deal
In 2012, Dassault Rafale won the competition to serve India Air Force 126 + 63 Aircraft in which 18 Aircraft was fully built and developed by Dassault Aviation and remaining 108 will be built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) under the license by Dassault Aviation.
Let me tell you, only 18 Aircraft was fully built and developed with the cost of Rs 715 Crores per aircraft. Other 108 aircraft will be developed by HAL but French Company will not warranty on products developed by HAL. This led to the incongruity between French and Indian Government.
BJP led Deal
In July 2015, Defence Minister informed Rajya Sabha that previous deal was withdrawn and the new deal of 36 Aircraft fully developed by Dassault Aviation started.
Now INC tells the nation that they made a deal of 126 Aircraft and Modi Govt made the deal of only 36 Aircraft, but they are telling the half-truth.
INC made a deal in which India will get only 18 Aircraft which were fully developed and in warranty with Dassault Aviation (Manufacturer). 108 remaining Aircraft will be developed by HAL which doesn’t have the quality standard as of Dassault, that means only 18 will be in warranty and 108 will be just made for the showoff.

Modi government scrapped the deal and got the new deal that will give Indian Airforce 36 fully developed and in warranty Aircraft. It is clear that HAL doesn’t have the quality to developed that kind of Aircraft, so why to take the risk. Total Cost: - 58000 Crores.

Congress asked Modi why Anil Ambani was present during the day when the deal was finalising? Anil Ambani said he was present due to CEO Summit between France and India.
Clarification
French Government clarify that they don’t have any pressure to select Indian Group.
Former Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha accepted that present deal is cheaper than the last one as the new deal has better maintenance and weapon package.
Congress tries to defame government just on the point that they (INC) bought more Aircraft but they never tell you the details about what they were purchasing, only 18 Aircraft with Warranty and other 108 Aircraft to be made by HAL which already said that they don’t have the capability as of Dassault.
