In Times of India newspaper of 16th December headline quoted " 7 Civilians die trying to stop J&K Gunfight, 3 Hizb men killed too".  First of all, there is a huge difference between stone pelters and civilians and after that, it was not a gunfight, it was an encounter of terrorist that those "civilians" trying to "stop" . Credit: Outlook As per the sources, 3 Hizbul Terrorists were staying at the village in Karpora Sirnoo of Pulwama in south Kashmir. Army unit reached the spot and trapped the terrorists from fleeing but then these "civilians" start throwing stones on Jawans and trying to help the terrorist to flee. The announcement was made to the villagers to back out but despite announcements and air firing, they started to come forward toward Jawans. Kashmir : Tourism or Terrorism

Kashmir is no longer a heaven place for tourists but it may be a place that takes you to the heaven. The ongoing tussle between security forces and stone pelters on different occasions and front led to the death of a tourist. I recently wrote an article about the excuses given in the favour of stone pelters and raises some serious questions about them ( Human Rights ). In 2008 when about 60 locals were killed still no attacks on tourist and tourism was an important part of financial aid Kashmir have. Recently stone-pelters targeted a group of tourists and that resulted in the death of a tourist, this is the 1st ever case of tourist killing in the valley, regardless of this I have no surprise that people of valley done this, When the people can't stand for their own army then why do you think they will save tourists from stone-pelters.
