A recent tweet by Vijay Mallya sparks the controversy in Indian politics, In the tweet, he said, "I met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley before leaving India and done settlement." Who is Vijay Mallya?

He is an Indian Businessman and Politician, Former Rajya Sabha Member. Known for his brand Kingfisher and Kingfisher Airlines.

Controversy:-

Defaulter in ₹9000 Crore Loans from approximately 17 Banks.
Fled to Britain.

Arun Jaitley immediately tweeted the clarification regarding his meet, He tweeted "The statement of Vijay Mallaya that he met me & offered settlement is factually false in as much as it does not reflect truth. Since 2014, I have never given him any appointment to meet me and the question of his having met me does not arise".

Further he added "Since he was a Member of Rajya Sabha and he occasionally attended the House, he misused that privilege on one occasion, having been fully briefed about his earlier “bluff offers”, I curtly told him “there was no point talking to me and he must make offers to his bankers.”

FM said he did not give him an appointment and never talked about the settlement. Vijay Mallya is saying these words on someone's order.

BJP's Spokesperson said - Mallya got loans because he has the privileged during the Congress regime.

Congress President said- He saw FM meeting Mallya a few years ago.FM has to step down and Modi has to order an investigation.

MY OPINION

If He saw FM and Mallya meeting then why not he told this truth before and why not he complain. Mallya was a Rajya Sabha member and met FM in the corridor and it wasn't a meeting, it is like a coursemate passing by and you said hello and then later tell that you have a meeting with him.
Congress asking for the resignation, LOL Firstly they regain their knowledge that who gave him the loans and who has relations with him. Mallya's stock increases during Congress regime itself and during BJP's govt he fled to save himself from the judiciary.
