Students of Aligarh Muslim University sat on an indefinite dharna against RSS led protestors who tried to storm into the campus and wanted to put down the portrait of Ali Jinnah from AMU Student Union Hall. The incident started after BJP MP Satish wrote a letter to the vice-chancellor of AMU questioning presence of Muhammed Ali Jinnah's portrait in student union hall.
Yesterday, a clash between Police and AMU students led to "lathicharge" by police resulting in the injury of 19 students.Hundreds of protesters gathered around Baab-e-Syed to march an peaceful Andolan against RSS backed goons who tried to enter AMU campus forcefully. The protest turned violent and police 'lathi charged' on the gathered crowd. Students said that Hindu Yuva Vahini activists were shouting hate slogans against ex Vice-president Hamid Ansari about killing him.
At around 2 PM, Former Vice-President came for speech.
Approx 15 Hindu Yuva Vahini activists enter the campus with revolvers, sticks and attacked students that led to the tussle between students and attackers.
6 attackers were caught and handed to police but police refuse to lodge complain and free all of them.
Current AMUSU president and Vice-president were injured in the attack.
Muhammed Ali Jinnah was neither student nor teacher of AMU, so that's why the question arises why his portrait on the wall? Yogi Adityanath in an interview said that Jinnah's portrait is unnecessary and should not be hanged. AMU students demand FIR be noted against outsiders who tried to get in forcefully.
AMU student union announces the boycott of classes and exams for 5 days and wants action against the people who were trying to get into university. Yesterday Ex-Vice President H. Ansari was present near the site as he came to receive the lifetime membership. The programme was later suspended due to violence started and police "Lathicharge" students from Baab-e-Syed gate to AMU circle in which approx 19 students get injured.
Currently, Internet services were suspended in Aligarh as a precautionary move.
Current AMUSU president and former president said that if the state government does not do appropriate justice than they will plea to National Human Rights with the help of secular organization in India.
Till then the question is still left why the portrait of M. A. Jinnah is hanged? or Picture is hanging since 1938 and now they are protesting about it?
Some connection related to 2019 Election?
A person who divided India is no longer needed in India.
