2G Spectrum Scam - Verdict you need to know

As CBI Special Court verdict said that 2G Spectrum was not a scam it is just an assumed allegation on government by opposition to defame them.

What is the case about? 

It started after A. Raja was made Telecom Minister in 2007.

The allegation was made by CBI that Mr. A. Raja favored 2 Telecom companies(Unitech and Swann) to grab a license.

They gave the license on the basis of First Come - First Serve and sold it at the price of the Year 2001. That is the CAG Report(2010) told that if it was Auctioned the profit would be of Rs 1.76K Crores.

Another allegation was made in which it is said that A.Raja were bribed around $470 million to move the cutoff date further.

 After that report, CBI court arrested A.Raja and his companion in this case.

Importance in Politics

This Scam started a strong opposition by opposition. Results in collapsing of Lok Sabha for 200 Days approx.

This changes people's opinion on the ruling party.

Congress was grabbed in the jaws of BJP and BJP used that report in the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, it was a starting of BJP's अच्छे दिन and Congress's demise.

Verdict

On 21st Dec 2017, Special Court of CBI stated that there is no evidence of such bribery and loss of money and because of insufficient evidence, all the accused personnel including Mr. A.Raja were acquitted.

My Views

Total turnout and a twist by the verdict of CBI special court, surprised by the decision as earlier it can be termed as the biggest scam in the history of Indian politics and now it is termed as no loss but just an assumed allegation by the opposition.

CAG report was termed false.

After hearing the verdict only one song came to my mind,

गोलमाल है भाई सब गोलमाल है। सीधे रस्ते पर टेढ़ी चाल है।
