Born on 2nd Oct 1869, we are celebrating his 148th birth anniversary.
Full name: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Unofficially called "Father of the Nation" 
In India, it is celebrated as a national holiday and Internationally - International day of non-violence.
On 2nd Oct 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a programme "Swachh  Bharat Mission"(Clean India Mission) in respect of Mahatma Gandhi.

He was born on 2nd Oct 1869 at Porbandar, Gujarat. 

EDUCATION 


In London, studies Law and Jurisprudence and enrolled in Inner Temple.


Civil Right Activist in South Africa


Due to his skin color, he was discriminated and not allowed to travel with European people.
He was disappointed with this and protested against this tradition.
That shape a new era in South Africa modern system to end this tradition.  


Influence in India 


Nonviolence , village economics , Gandhigiri .
We were influenced by the ideology of Gandhi.
Peace and prosperity in the country.

My Clean India 


In honor of MK Gandhi, Govt of India started a programme which objective is to get India clean which was Gandhi's aim.
Open defecation should be stopped. 
Inaugurated on his birth anniversary in 2014  with an aim to be completed on his 150th birth anniversary i.e. in 2019.

We should also take the pledge and make our country clean.
