As the U 17 Football world cup will kickoff on 6th Oct 2017 (ie. Friday) at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The U-17 World Cup, the first-ever FIFA event India's hosting, will be played in six cities - New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi, and Margao.

This is a major break for India to boost our involvement in Football and established our self in this world.

First of all some of the major key points about this tournament:-

  1. Fifa U-17 World Cup founded as U-16 World Championship.
  2. First Edition is staged in 1985 at China.
  3. Nigeria U-17 is the most successful Team in the history of this Tournament.
  4. Played every 2 years.
  5. Total teams = 24
  6. The last tournament was hosted in Chile and Won by Nigeria.
  7. India is hosting the 2017th edition.

 India's Benefit:-

India is playing his first tournament.
India is hosting his first tournament.

Both of the above statement is very essential for the Future of Football in INDIA.
  • Indian players get exposure to such a high-level tournament.
  • Gaining an experience is a key factor in a players development.
  • The inspiration for more young players to know this game much better.
  • The shaping of young players that eyes to play for senior Indian Team.
Now I quote some of the thoughts that had been presented by Former Indian U-17 Coach Nicolai Adam "Players should get some foreign exposure".
He sticks to his principle and result of that Indian U-17 team have traveled to 4 continents and 18 countries since 2015, and no previous team of India is that well prepared. They had played approx 100 matches.

All this preparation have been possible by the support of AIFF that gives 15 Crores for preparation and improvement of the team.

Thanking Govt Of India for their support and bringing this prestigious tournament in our country.

Send your Love and Support for Our Team India.
Wishing them Luck to go ahead with confidence.
