India gained its Independence in 1947 and adopted its constitution on 26th Jan 1950, our constitution reads " Article 15 (1) and (2) prohibit the state from discriminating any citizen on the ground of  any religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them".  Instead of the law, there is still discrimination alive in this country.
